O Centro de Inovações Tecnológicas (CIT) do Instituto Evandro Chagas foi idealizado em Novembro de 2009 e atualmente é constituído pelos Laboratórios de Genômica, Bioinformática, Proteômica, Diagnóstico Molecular, Análise Citogenética por Imagem e Nanotecnologia. O CIT tem por objetivo principal ser o elo entre o Instituto Evandro Chagas e diferentes setores da comunidade científica e da sociedade. A sua missão abrange o incentivo à inovação e proteção do conhecimento, geração de produtos, processos e serviços inovadores, e desenvolvimento técnico científico regional e nacional por meio de cooperações científicas e elaboração de projetos de P, D&I (Pesquisa, Desenvolvimento e Inovação).
